College Avenue brand redesign
When the magazine underwent a major rebranding in 2020, I created a new visual identity to promote the publication’s voice, primarily on Instagram but also on our first independent website. Along with the rest of the editorial team, I helped implement this branding which was followed by a successful year of exponential follower growth and staff recruitment.
Hack the Gates: Radically Reimagining Admissions
I did key work on this national project including collaborating with other project partners to curate webinars and photos for the RISE project page, as well as designing and writing WordPress webpage content.
Throughout the project, I promoted developments on social media, boosting overall project engagement. For the project finale, I formatted the final policy briefs in InDesign for digital and print.
RISE Center Twitter and Facebook
As media intern, I ran the social media pages for the new Race and Intersectional Studies for Equity in Education Center from August of 2019 to May of 2021. This internship was my first foray into managing social media.
Over the course of my time there, I grew our followers to approximately 470 and 517 for Twitter and Facebook respectively. RISE gave me free reign to promote scholar activity and events using my own creative branding designs.
